Buttock Implants
Buttock implants/Buttock implantation, also called buttock augmentation, typically involves a 3-inch incision made between the midline of the buttocks. Your surgeon creates a pocket for the solid silicone implant and inserts it through this incision. The implant is positioned between muscle and fat. Some surgeons prefer to place the implants in the main buttock muscle. This area will form scar tissue that should help keep the implant in place.
Like breast implants, buttock implants come in different sizes and shapes, and can even be customized. In general, these natural-feeling implants help round out the upper and outer parts of the buttocks; but not the lower parts.
For those that have had underdeveloped buttocks, buttock implants can now provide them with a more proportionate figure. Not only has this helped enhance their appearance, but for many they have also gained a boost in their self-esteem and self-confidence.
Buttock implant surgery usually takes about two to three hours to complete. The length of the procedure varies according to the technique used, the placement of the implants, the patient's anatomy, and type of anesthesia used.

Buttock Implants
Generally, anyone in average physical condition or good health can be a candidate for buttock augmentation surgery.
Buttocks implant or butt implants, are intended for men and women who would like more curves and/or a well-balanced physique. This can improve an individual’s buttock contour by creating a fuller shape. Made out of solid or semi-solid silicone, butt implants have a soft, natural feeling similar to a well-toned muscle.

Buttock Implants
Buttocks implant, also called buttock augmentation, or gluteal implants, are usually only performed by a small, select group of plastic and cosmetic surgeons who have performed thousands of these procedures.

Buttock Implants
Some feel their buttocks lack shape, while others want to have a more sensuous backside by making them larger and rounder.
Implants placed in the buttocks are comprised of a silicone shell filled with a firm but flexible material, typically silicone. These implants are designed to maintain a natural feel to the buttocks. However, types of implants used may vary, depending on the surgeon.
Women who desire a Jennifer Lopez butt implants "look" can attain this through the use of gluteal implants, adding more body curvature to those areas where they previously were deficient, and helping them sculpt the select areas they desire.

Plastic Surgery Buttock Implants
Some women feel their buttocks never fully developed, and some women wish to gain a more enhanced set of buttocks by making them larger and rounder. Butt implants is the cosmetic surgery procedure that provides a solution.

Buttock Implants
Buttock implants are made of silicone as are breast implants, but they differ in consistency. Breast implants are soft and fluid filled, while the buttock implants are soft but made of a solid silicone. Under general anesthesia, the silicone implants are placed into each buttock area through a single incision overlying the tailbone. The implants are positioned to look as natural as possible for the optimal cosmetic effect.
The actual implants are semi-solid silicone so there's no danger of breaking and leaking. Moreover, you don't sit on the implant but on the bones designed to support your weight. The actual implant sits up higher in the buttocks
Most likely, the anesthesia you receive will be general, although some doctors use a local anesthetic along with a sedative. Anesthesia type should be discussed with your doctor during the initial consultation.
Usually, a buttocks implant involves a single well-hidden incision to place the implant under some layers of buttock muscle and fat.
You will be advised to wear a properly fitted (corset) garment day and night this helps with the healing.

Buttock Implants
Since this is an area of the body that is required for walking, sitting, and so many other movements, patients might experience greater pain during the recovery period than other common cosmetic surgery procedures and the recovery time is usually longer.
Full activities including gym work, bicycling, and running can usually be resumed about four weeks following surgery. It may take up to six or eight months until the results feel as if they're part of the body and the patient forgets about them even being there.
Rest is important to the healing process, so do it as much as possible following your procedure. Drink plenty of fluids, and be sure to take the doctor's prescribed medications.
Most likely, you will be able to resume calm, quiet work within a few days to weeks following butt implants surgery. You should still avoid physical exertion for several weeks, depending on the advice of your doctor.
After Surgery You can expect to enjoy fuller, firmer, more rounded buttocks that you can show off in tighter fitting clothes instead of covering your bottom up.
The size and shape of the implant for the buttock enlargement will be chosen in consultation with the plastic surgeon. Before the procedure, the surgeon will determine where the incision will be made and where the buttock prosthesis is best placed.
Most buttock implant surgery is performed in a surgical suite as an outpatient procedure you'll be able to return home within a few hours of the surgery.
Risks
All surgical procedures carry some degree of risk. The risks of undergoing buttock implant surgery can include:
Infection, bleeding, nerve and/or muscle damage, slippage, unsatisfactory results, adverse reaction to anesthesia and asymmetry and the need for second, or sometimes third, procedures.
Side Effects
Pain, soreness, numbness, minimal swelling and bruising for first few days.
Buttock implants/Buttock augmentation stretches the tissues, and can be painful. This is especially true when the implants are placed under the muscle. The pain is greatest within the first 48 hours, but improves with each day and is somewhat relieved by pain medications. In spite of the initial discomfort, most women report that they are very satisfied with the results of the surgery.
With Buttock implants/buttock augmentation, there is a possibility that the implants may shift and cause the buttocks to appear asymmetrical. However, the implants are placed above the sitting area, this is done to keep patients from sitting on them and thus reducing the risk of implants shifting.
Another complication is that the Buttock implants/butt implants may rupture, or break. However, this occurrence is rare.
Like all surgery, Plastic Surgery Buttock implants/gluteoplasty has some risk. In 2009, Solange Magnano, winner of the 1994 Miss Argentina contest, died from complications relating to a Buttock implants/gluteoplasty she had received in Buenos Aires. It was thought that a liquid that had been injected into her buttocks had traveled to her lungs and brain.
Cost Of Buttock Implants/Butt Implant Costs/Buttock Implants Cost:
Costs of butt implants vary, depending on the doctor, the location, technique used, and the difficulty of the specific case. The national average of 2007 surgeon fees for butt implants was $4,772 (Source: American Society of Plastic Surgeon). These fees do not include anesthesia, operating room facility, hospital stay, and other related expenses.
Buttock implant surgery improves the appearance of a flat, unshapely behind by adding volume to areas of the buttocks that are lacking.
Those considering buttock implants should first find a qualified cosmetic surgeon to perform the procedure.
